As the beverage director over both locations of B.B. Lemon, Monique Cioffi-Hernandez brings more than 20 years of experience in the industry and a true passion for mixology. In her new role, she oversees the beverage program in its entirety including creating the impressive cocktail menu, which utilizes straightforward, cutting-edge spirits and house-made, infused syrups, along with a selection of liquors, beers, seasonal changes and more.
Bartending and a love for hospitality is in her blood, as her father was a bartender at The Palm for 30 years and adored by many Houstonians. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in science and psychology from Texas A&M University, Monique honed her skills working in various high-end nightclubs and bars before following in her dad’s footsteps at The Palm, where she met Berg Hospitality Group founder, Benjamin Berg.
In 2013, Monique joined Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette in River Oaks, serving as the beverage manager for three years before being recruited by Field & Tides in the Heights to be a part of the opening team. During her time there, Houston Press awarded her Houston’s Best Bartender and Houston’s Best Cocktail Menu.
As a new member of the Berg Hospitality team, Monique is excited to be part of such a great company with so much stability and potential for growth. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children and watching them navigate their own passions.
