Executive Chef | B.B. Lemon
As the executive chef over both locations of B.B. Lemon, Emily Trusler brings her creativity and passion for cooking and more than 18 years of experience to her role. In addition to maintaining organization and efficiency in the kitchen, she is committed to using only the highest-quality ingredients to create excellent, consistent food for every guest.
Growing up in the kitchen with her mother and grandparents, her calling has always been to the hospitality industry, earning her first restaurant job at age 15. After several years waiting tables and bartending in Houston, she was promoted to an assistant general manager position, quickly learning every facet of the high-intensity business. She loved the energy, the people and the fast pace, and she knew this was something she wanted to pursue long-term.
After a couple of stints as a kitchen manager at various Houston hot spots, Trusler was hired as a prep cook at Flemings’s Steakhouse where she was soon promoted to executive sous chef. Before joining the B.B. Lemon team, Trusler gained valuable experience as a sous chef at Salt Air, executive chef at 51fifteen, and most recently, the chef de cuisine at Emmaline.
Trusler enjoys the laid-back, family feel of B.B. Lemon and is excited to continue her career with the hardworking Berg Hospitality Group. When Trusler is not cooking up delicious cuisine, she enjoys riding her motorcycle, traveling and listening to music.
